Founder Story
Marami was founded in 2021 by Dr. Hessah Ahmed Hareb Al Falahi, an educator, entrepreneur, author, and advocate for preserving meaningful memories through timeless design.
While pursuing a full-time career in higher education, Dr. Hessah recognized a gap in the jewelry market. Although luxury jewelry was widely available, few pieces offered the opportunity to preserve personal memories and emotional connections in a meaningful and lasting way. She envisioned a brand that would combine fine craftsmanship with the stories, moments, and people that shape our lives.
The inspiration behind Marami began even before the brand itself. In 2019, Dr. Hessah's aunt, Salama, gifted her daughter Hind a traditional Tabla pendant. The piece held deep emotional value and became a cherished family keepsake. Inspired by its sentimental significance and timeless beauty, Dr. Hessah later reimagined the concept through a modern lens, creating what would become Marami's signature Modern Tabla design.
Having always appreciated personalized gifts and fine jewelry that can be passed down through generations, Dr. Hessah believed that luxury should carry meaning beyond beauty. Jewelry should not simply be worn. It should tell a story, preserve a memory, and celebrate the people who matter most.
This belief inspired the creation of Marami’s most iconic piece, the Modern Illume Photo Pendant. The first pendant featured photographs of Dr. Hessah’s father and late grandfather and was gifted to her mother as a tribute to family, love, and legacy.
One of Marami’s earliest milestones came during an exhibition in Bahrain, where a commemorative piece featuring the image of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa attracted significant attention and became one of the brand’s defining early successes.
Over the years, Marami has grown from a personal passion project into a recognized luxury personalization brand across the GCC. More than 100 customized pieces have been created for royal and VIP clients across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
Among Marami’s proudest achievements is the success of the Modern Illume Photo Pendant, a luxury 18k gold and diamond creation. Customized pendants featuring leaders and distinguished figures have been commissioned throughout the region, including pieces connected to the legacies of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Marami also participated in a special collaboration during the Mother of the Nation Festival in Abu Dhabi. Another notable milestone was seeing renowned Emirati singer Ahlam Al Shamsi wear the Sheikh Zayed pendant, highlighting the cultural significance of Marami’s designs.
Today, Marami serves clients across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the wider GCC region through luxury photo pendants, personalized jewelry, engraved keepsakes, and commemorative creations.
